about us

The philosophy of the Dali Institute, lead by Dr. Antonia Darder, is that human beings have the strength and brilliance to transform our conditions. We do this through our personal and collective work for a more just and loving world. Central to the DALI perspective is that we are here in the world to learn together, in order to activate our human capacity for engaging in Daring Acts of Love and Inspiration—acts that will give birth to a new world.

There is no question that we are living in a very complex and difficult historical moment, which requires all our sensibilities to navigate the dismantling of old systems and simultaneously create new values, structures and relationships that will focus on the well-being of all, rather  than just the few. This requires us to build together the wherewithal to engage openly with uncertainty ambiguity, and complexity in every aspect of our lives.

This calls us to develop new systems of labor and educational engagement, anchored in the belief that we have enough resources and opportunities within ourselves and our communities to create an ecologically sound and sustainable world, where our shared visions, commitments, and actions can move us toward a way of life that affirms the preciousness of all life. With all this in mind, the work of the DALI Institute is focused on generating a culture of sufficiency that can revolutionize the way we live, work, love, and dream—not tomorrow, but today.
